We never know what Mother Nature will bring our way. No words can describe the devastation from Hurricane Harry that hit in our area. Seeing friends, families, and neighbors displaced is heart wrenching. Loss of life and enormous amount of damage in the greater Houston area and across Texas is unimaginable.
It’s overwhelming to see the number of Houstonians and volunteers from all over the country that have showed up to help strangers. It really goes to show how people pull together in a time of crisis - no matter race, religion, gender, sexuality, and political ideology. Texas strong, America strong, we are one!
We can never say thank you enough to all the first responders, military active duty, reserves, national guard, city/government officials, organizations and the countless volunteers from all over the country. Thank you!
Although the skies are blue here in Texas, sadly there are still thousands of homes filled with water and over 35,000 people homeless, the work is just beginning. Over the next several days, weeks, and months, Houstonians and volunteers will continue to pull together to help one another in rebuilding our city and providing assist to those in need.
For the month of September, Bunker 27 will donate 15% from sales to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. The fund was established by the Houston City Mayor, Sylvester Turner and is administered by The Greater Houston Community Foundation https://ghcf.org/hurricane-relief/ . We feel donating locally is one of the best ways to help ensure this directly helps victims.
Thank you for your support, Texas Strong!
